Kiwanis Needs Your Participation!
Kiwanis, through guidance and example, works to develop future generations of leaders.
Every day, Kiwanians are revitalizing neighborhoods, organizing youth sports programs, planting trees, building playgrounds, and performing countless other projects to help children and communities.
We have a proud history of helping youth and their families, with active and ongoing youth programs:

We provide the stepping stones to help young people learn community service and leadership skills.
If you have thought about becoming involved in community service, Kiwanis offers many opportunities. Our individual clubs decide on their service projects. Their endeavors vary from regional athletic events to recognition of students who have turned their grades around in difficult circumstances.

Who We Are
KIDS AT HEART
Kiwanis is a global organization of member-volunteers who are dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time.
Kiwanis members dedicate more than 18 million volunteer hours and invest more that $107 million annually in projects that strengthen communities and serve children. We help shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, mentor the disadvantaged and care for the sick. We develop youth as leaders, build playgrounds, raise funds for pediatric research and much more. We believe that helping a child helps the world.
Working together, Kiwanis members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone. When you give a child a chance to learn, experience, dream and succeed, great things happen!
Global Results
Kiwanis is once again joining forces with UNICEF to confront another threat to the world’s children. Having successfully worked to eradicate iodine deficiency (in our worldwide IDD project), Kiwanis International announced the ELIMINATE Project: Kiwanians working to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus. Our goal is to raise $110 million and save countless mothers and new-born babies from the disease.

The Kiwanis Mission
Kiwanis empowers communities to improve the world by making lasting differences in the lives of children.
The Kiwanis Vision
Kiwanis will be a positive influence in communities worldwide – so that one day, all children will wake up in communities that believe in them, nurture them and provide the support they need to thrive.
The Objects of Kiwanis
The six permanent Objects of Kiwanis International were approved by Kiwanis club delegates at the 1924 Kiwanis International Convention in Denver, Colorado. Through the decades, they have remained unchanged.
Object 1: To give primacy to the human and spiritual rather than to the material values of life.
Object 2: To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships.
Object 3: To promote the adoption and the application of higher social, business and professional standards.
Object 4: To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive and serviceable citizenship.
Object 5: To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service and to build better communities.
Object 6: To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism and good will.
Celebrating and fostering inclusiveness
In 2008, delegates at the Kiwanis International convention adopted a resolution that encourages and empowers clubs to create environments that develop and nurture mutual respect for all, and to celebrate the inclusiveness of all Kiwanis members. The language reads:
Therefore, be it resolved that the delegates assembled at the 2008 Kiwanis International convention in Orlando, Florida, and all Kiwanis leaders and members to take action to create a culture and club environment that develops and nurtures mutual respect for all and celebrates the inclusiveness of our beloved Kiwanis.”
